Overview
The Dimplex Ignite XL 50" (XLF50) is the most versatile size in the Ignite XL lineup. At just over 4 feet wide, it's the right fit for rooms where a 60" or 74" would overwhelm the wall — bedrooms, offices, condos, and smaller living rooms. Pairs perfectly under a 55–65" TV. This 50-inch built-in model delivers 1,500 watts of supplemental heat (5,118 or 8,530 BTU), warms rooms up to 1,000 sq ft and runs on a standard 120V / 240V household circuit.

No. Electric fireplaces need no venting, chimney or gas line. This model runs on 120V / 240V (direct wire | plug kit).
Can I use the flames without the heat?
Yes. The flame effect runs on its own, so you can enjoy it all year without heating the room.
